"He is not the God of the dead, but of the living." Mark 12:27 November second is the nationally celebrated Day of the Dead. Traditionally, families set up offerings to the deceased-- believing that they come to consume the food and drink presented. Skeletons and skulls adorn the streets and many dress up in as Catrina, a lady skeleton who represents death. It is, in short, a very dark time of year. In order share with children the thrill of our living God, Xaume and I had the privilege of celebrating a special "God of the living" program with several churches. After singing, object lessons, and dramas, we told the story of Jesus' death and resurrection . The kids got to be a part of the story by using these visuals.
