To Him

For from Him and through Him and to HIM are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.  -Romans 11:36 July highlights: Women's breakfast at  La Palma : At this Twist start-up site, we are seeing many moms hungry for the gospel. Once-a-month, volunteers from Crece church will be coordinating a breakfast-Bible time for them to join their kiddos in drawing near (currently, Twist is happening here two Saturdays per month). This is the beginning of a church plant...  Interview date! We finally heard back: Xau's Visa-Greencard interview is on September 17th in Ciudad Juarez (border town). Praise God! Praying and planning for next steps - asking for HIS direction and provision in all things. Xau had great trips to Monterrey, Chiapas and San Luis Potosi to teach at youth camps, preach and teach children's ministry seminars. Liam went with him to San Luis :) In one town where they ministered, the couple has been pastoring for 27 years. They'd been praying for God to ...

Perseverance

But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. - James‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬   It’s that time of year! We are support raising specifically for staff and collaborators (of course also year-round 😅), as these funds are now running very low.  Here’s a brief breakdown of our current team: Pris (PrEEs): Heart-for-the-lost outreach and discipleship emissary  By God’s grace, Pris joined full-time in June 2025 - though she’s collaborated with us for a decade. As Twist Kids’ Club coordinator for the metropolitan area, she heads start up clubs and support for existing clubs. Additionally, Pris serves at our home several days a week and is taking Bible institute classes online.  (40+ years old; main household income-earner; full-time)   Héctor:  Steadfast prayer-warrior and on-site go-to Haling from Honduras, Héctor started volunteering in February 2025. Now living at the Crece church facility, he helps maintain the space, builds...

In Search of JOY

"I have spoken these things to you so that My JOY may be in you and your joy may be complete."  -John 15:11 His. Complete. Joy. That is our calling :)  Xau in the Amazon! It's been quite the journey: they've hiked for hours to visit a community with no electricity (Matsés people), spent time training church volunteers in Nauta to open a kids' club, made many home visits to pray and deliver groceries in San Lorenzo as well as  teach evening Bible classes and collaborate with Samaritan's Purse in planning future translation and Christmas box donations.  Praise God for their protection and continued renewal in these last days of the trip. Thank you for praying. May His glory come to the ends of the earth!  Here in CDMX (Mexico City), we've had the great gift of some very special visitors :) Grandma and Grandpa have come to the rescue to support while Xau's been gone. They have been such a blessing. Please pray for their strength and health.  Check-in by ...

Spirit and Truth

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. - John 4:24  Easter egg hunt in the courtyard :)  Praises from the month:  1. Twist Kids’ Club Tulpetlac took a trip to the zoo! Sixteen kiddos and almost as many adults made the trek on a bus rental. It was a great outing!  2. Despite two kids’ clubs discontinuing, one group that’s been meeting for years asked if they could become a Twist!  At another site, the family was no longer interested in hosting. But, praise God, another believer, just down the block, was thrilled to open her patio to continue on!  A friend of ours, Norma, has had on her heart to start a Twist club out of her home. So, Twist coordinator Pris, has been working on the jump-start there as well. They had their first three kids come this month! These pastors, Luis and Abigaíl have been serving kids out of their home for eight years! Kids' Day outreach there (San Pedro Cholula, Estado de México) 3. We’ve been pray...

Patient Waiting

“Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.” -  ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬  “Wait. Patiently.” This has been God’s Word to me. “ And enjoy this season.”  He is so good at ministering His peace to us, even in the unknowns.  March praises:  - Liam turned 10 years old! 🥳 - We continue to see God’s hand building Crece church and Twist. 🔨 - Over 20 youth came to an outreach dinner, played games and received the Word. 🍽️ - Xau and I taught a children’s ministry seminar last weekend at a church we’d never worked with before. They were very grateful and excited to implement strategies. 📕 - We’re currently on a  family trip  in San Luis Potosí (6-8 hrs central north-west) to celebrate with a church here in the opening of their sec...

First Things First

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. -Matthew 6:33 As we walk through a season of uncertainty, in the midst of the questions we keep coming back to this truth: seek FIRST HIS KINGDOM and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. But, what does that really mean? For one, constantly giving over to Him all our worries and unknowns, and two, refocusing as often as possible on the bigger picture: His glory in the world. This is bigger than me.  Day-to-day seeking His Kingdom looks like quieting our hearts before Him each morning (and throughout the day!), dedicating time with our children , taking time together as a couple, and, as we're able, walking with others towards Him - all the while taking HOPE from His Word and drawing POWER from His Spirit.  This month we saw God work through Jaime's memorial service (Xau's Dad), baptisms, child dedications, and fun times together. At the memorial, many of Jaime's family members (and a ne...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
