"He is not the God of the dead, but of the living." Mark 12:27 November second is the nationally celebrated Day of the Dead.  Traditionally, families set up offerings to the deceased-- believing that they come to consume the food and drink presented.  Skeletons and skulls adorn the streets and many dress up in as Catrina, a lady skeleton who represents death.  It is, in short, a very dark time of year. In order share with children the thrill of our living God, Xaume and I had the privilege of celebrating a special "God of the living" program with several churches.  After singing, object lessons, and dramas, we told the story of Jesus' death and resurrection .  The kids got to be a part of the story by using these visuals. "Ask and it will be given to you..."  Matthew 7:7 When I let God reveal my heart, my prayer changed.  Instead of always pleading: "God, please provide," I realized the most important thing: "God, make yourself evident through us-- open doors for us to share your Word."  This month has been an explosion of opportunities.  I believe it's because I finally let God show me His true desire-- that His Kingdom become my first desire.  Knowing that all the rest will be provided.  Some of the opportunities... We gave a children's ministry training at a church in El Estado de México.  We hosted a youth leader training/youth service at a church here in the D.F.   We presented a children's service for a church in the northern part of the D.F. Xaume shared with the young men of our church... and I shared with the young ladies. Xaume led a Sunday service at a sister church.  We each direct...

Besides putting some finishing touches on our apartment, we've had a month of adventures in faith.   He's a natural chef. I'm so thankful. "Don't push these children away.  Don't ever  get between them and me.   These children are at the  very center of life in the Kingdom."  -Mark 10:14-15  The Message  Praise: After a week of painting and working on the apartment, we had our first ministry opportunity!   We were invited to a church about two hours away to lead a training for teaching children the Word of God! Entry ·1: Our first days in Mexico This is the provision of God for transporting our mattress. This is us in the bed of a truck. Instead of having to pay more for the furniture company to deliver our mattress, Xaume asked this kind truck owner how much he would charge.  Half the price of what it would have been! Amen!
