February

Diligently keep the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds us.
Ephesians 4:3

Our prayer is to continue to grow in unity of the Spirit as we preach and teach the best news there is: Christ Jesus.

The picture above is from a youth event we organized at the beginning of the month.  With the goal of a youth outreach in March, we wanted to integrate and train two church youth groups so that when the event arrives they can confidently and purposefully share with those who attend.
Here we had a morning of teambuilding in the park.  To close, we heard from the Word about the importance of unity and we took a time to pray together.

This month we finished the remaining two children's worker trainings for a church, and to practice with them we invited kids from the neighborhood to an in-the-street lesson!

Friends of ours are assistant pastors at a church in central D.F. We were blessed with an invitation for Xaume to preach one Sunday.

I was excited to be a guest speaker at an evangelistic women's breakfast.  After sharing about the restoration of our communion and confidence with God through Christ, we had a time to pray for and minister to the women.

Xaume began to teach a class on children's ministry for an opening Bible institute in the south of the D.F.

Huge provision. This is our new car!  God put us on the heart of a stranger in the congregation of a pastor friend of ours.  He felt prompted to give an offering for the ¨teacher who comes from far away.¨
The offering plus some of our savings plus an almost half-price sale from a different pastor friend of ours...

Thank you, Jesus.  We are very blessed to be able to travel by car.  It is a big help for cutting down on time spent in transit and carrying our materials for the ministry.

Xaume just finished teaching Personal Evangelism at the Bible institute.  Part of our homework was a group project.  In my group, we went to this downtown plaza, bought drinks, and invited people over for a free soda.  The posters have the verse John 4:13-14 written on them-- ¨Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give,...will become a spring of water welling up to eternal life--¨which we used to initiate conversations, listen, share, and pray.

Xaume was invited to help with a pastor's conference in Estado de Mexico.  Stay strong guys!

After Xaume's class on evangelism had finished, a pastor classmate of mine asked Xaume to give classes at his church on the subject.  He always has us repeat after him, ¨The great commission is for me!¨  Amen!

Thanks for reading/viewing.  We are thankful for you and ask for your continued support-- to pray with us for this nation, Mexico, and the harvest that is ready.  Please pray for us to be in step with the Holy Spirit in every opportunity. You are a blessing!

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
