April

Jesus said, ''Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.''
Matthew 19:14

April is children's month here in Mexico, because the 30th of April is Children's Day.  We were able to take advantage of this holiday by having several evangelistic outreaches connected with local churches.  Praise God that many children heard the gospel message for the first time and made the decision to accept Christ!

Ephesus Church in Estado de Mexico

Since this activity was with kids who are part of the church, our theme was the Great Commission.  Mark 16:15 was our memory verse-- Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.  Here we are dedicating our lives to share this message.  We also took time to pray for the kids on each continent who need to hear and receive.

Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, Federal District

This outreach was a breakthrough for the church because it is just beginning.  But praise God the members worked very hard to invite kids from the neighborhood.  The enemy tried to keep us from sharing the message because it rained, and our program was cut a bit short because we had to move inside.  However, we were still able to finish with a salvation drama and the call to respond-- which many took.  Amen!  And, who knows, maybe it was good to get them inside the building so they aren't afraid to come back!

Emmanuel Church, Distrito Federal

Here we partnered with a clown ministry that the church has.  The place was packed with kids and adults.  In this lesson, our focus was that God's love never fails.  We presented various object lessons and skits to help the kids understand that the love of the world isn't perfect but God's love is, and it never runs out.  They were touched with the truth and received.

Jesus the Savior Church, Federal District

This was a miracle gathering.  A political figure decided to have his function for kids the same day, on the same street, one hour before our event. But God- as always- used it for good.  Thankfully, his event wasn't as exciting as the people had hoped and they came flocking to ours!  It was an exciting time to share about God's infinite love with more than 500 neighbors!

Love and Faith Church, Estado de Mexico

We got to be a part of this children's event where the church meets in a community park every Sunday.  It's an excellent location, because it's surrounded by apartment complexes.  So people are hearing the message even when they're in their apartments! Here our message was about the great exchange that Jesus made for us: He payed for our sins and in return gave us eternal life!

Thanks for reading! My apologies for posting so late, but we've had a busy beginning of May, too.  We continually need your prayers for God's message to go forth in power!  Thank you for supporting us.  May you all continue to be amazed by our God's love and share it with those around you.

A special thanks to all you who support us financially.  We praise God for you.
For those of you who are interested in financial support, we are asking God for three additional sponsors. Contact us if you have any questions.

Time

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—  making the most of the time, because the days are evil.    -Ephesians 5:15-16 God gave me a word for each month this year and February's word was TIME.  The goal: listening AND OBEYING His direction for how to spend time. He knows best - so yielding to His Word has been a challenge since I often think I know what needs to be done and when. But it's so refreshing when we do obey and get to experience His perfect wisdom!   Pray for these ones to continue to grow in their knowledge and walk with God! This past month... Crece Church Plant News:  Two women (mother and daughter) were baptized - expressing their desire to follow Christ completely.  Despite all her nerves and wanting to back out, Imara taught her first time on a Sunday morning! She was baptized last February. (Brayan also preached this month - we continue to encourage ones to let themselves be stretched and u...

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

Pressed

“We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ It’s been a tough month. Good things but also some heavy pushback, spiritually. I’ve been prayerfully aware of the weight of this area we’ve targeted to minister in: Ecatepec. The name literally means “hill of the god of the air.” We know there’s quite a stronghold of the enemy in the region. And though it often feels like we’re working a pickax, we’re thankful  that His praise is the constant. And for the promise that we WILL NOT BE CRUSHED.  Highlights:  Worship night at Karina’s  home  (just two blocks from Crece church)  this Saturday night!  It was a great  time for the young people to come together, have some good hang out time and then mov...
