He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

Thank you-- all of you whom I had the priviledge of seeing in Ohio.  It was truly a refreshing and sweet time. Thank you for your amazing generosity and encouragement. We praise God for you.

Xaume did an awesome job at the youth camp while I was away.  He was in charge of coordinating the activities and teaching about various themes, including missions.

At the end of the week, the youth were able to go into the village and present  the gospel through drama, and the pastor shared the message of salvation.

Their church had raised donations which the youth then handed out. The villagers said there had never been an event of that magnitude in the town- of any kind.  We believe that both groups were blessed.

Right after I got back, we were invited to serve at a church in Pachuca, Hidalgo (a state north of the city).  They were having a conference and asked us to teach the kids.

The first night we taught a lesson called God's love never fails.  The following day we shared about the power we have by the Holy Spirit.

The next week I taught kids at our church about sharing God's Word boldly and Xaume shared at the evening service.  He's teaching a consecutive series based on Reinhard Bonnke's Evangelism of Fire film.

A friend of ours holds a cell group for kids in her home.  We were excited to receive an invitation to minister to them.  After praying for each of them, they prayed over the couple who hosts the group. It was truly a powerful time.

To finish out the month, we went to Oaxaca- a southern state about six hours away.  We went with our friend who is starting a mission in his home town.  He grew up in the mountains and now goes back twice a month to minister.

This is his mom.  She's super tiny and only speaks Mazateco- a dialect language.  Also, she is amazing at cooking over the fire.

Many of the parents are resistant to coming, but the kids come. During our three days there, we taught about the power of our words, our value in Christ, and how to worship God.

Xaume got to share his testimony on the radio!  He shared a message and also invited kids to our activity that afternoon.

Please pray for the kids in Huautla, Oaxaca and their families to seek after God and respond to His Word.

Thanks for reading!  And thank you again for praying for us and supporting us.  Please continue to pray for us to follow the Spirit and move in His power.   We are expectant for more of Him in Mexico.
We love you.

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
