November

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

View of Volcano Popocatepetl from our house.

First off, my apologies for the shortage of photos.  We had a camera malfunction that we hope to resolve soon. Nonetheless, it has been a great month!

We are rejoicing...
because God has opened an opportunity for us to serve in two youth groups as mentors to the leaders.
Working with youth is an area deep in our hearts. For them to have a solid group where His Word is taught and His love is shown and His Spirit is welcome-- that's our goal. This position gives us the responsibility to oversee the administrative and practical aspect of youth ministry.  To clarify- we are not the youth leaders- we are simply in a support role to fortify and grow what they are doing.

Fun.

Join us in praying for discernment and revelation in how to best mentor these leaders for the expansion of His Kingdom among youth.

We are praying...
for the coming month and year.  December holds Christmas outreaches that we are planning.  May the true motivation for celebration be made known!
As 2013 winds down, we've taken time to process and pray.  We praise God for what He has done, but we are expectant for more.

The Zocalo- central square- at Christmas time.
Please pray for us to move by the Spirit in all that we do- and above all else to exalt the name of Jesus.

We are giving thanks...
to have the privilege of sharing God's Word in Mexico.  I got to preach at the Bible Institute where I'm studying.  It was really cool.  It's so exciting how the Bible becomes even more alive- and even more powerful when we study it to share with others.

I just taught once.  Here's Xaume teaching in a different campus one of 17 hours for the class Ministerial Ethics! Talk about responsibility.

We are also giving thanks for each of you.  Ok, so it may sound cheesy with Thanksgiving and all, but truly,  God has formed us as His Body.  And we are thankful to Him for you.

May He satisfy you with good things!! As we can testify to His greatness, may He astound you with His goodness and glory!

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
