Made-It May

I am sure of this that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6

Rhema Bible Institute Mexico.   These two years of study have surpassed my expectations. I considered myself grounded enough with church and a college degree...

But we can never reach the bottom of God's Word.  There's always more.
Due to Xaume's urging, I enrolled.   It couldn't hurt.

I didn't have the slightest idea how much I would learn about God's message of faith. When we choose to believe Him: who He is, what He's promised, and who we are IN Him, life changes.

Xau's family: They've been my family here in Mexico. GRACIAS!
These two years have been foundational for me.  To excel in any work for the Lord, we must be prepared. It's a beginning that continues on every day: to delve into His presence and live out the gospel.

Thank you Xaume for encouraging me and challenging me all along the way.  And I know you won't stop :)

While I was finishing up my last classes, Xaume, especially worked hard on youth retreat and misisons trip details for July.

Yautepec is an agricultural area south of Mexico City.
Amidst much planning and preparation we traveled down to Yautepec, Morelos.  We needed to see the site before deciding that's where the retreat will be.

In Yautepec: One of many shrines to Lady Guadelupe
Please join with us in prayer for the youth retreat and the following mission trip.  Pray that the youth will be eager and receptive to hear from God and for the villages we'll be visiting to receive the message of Christ wholeheartedly.

We didn't expect this.  I had wanted to go to Cancun since we got married.  When Mario and Suzanne Babarczy (founders of Hearts in Action) invited us to meet up with them, we couldn't believe it.

They shared much wisdom as we discussed steps to take in the ministry and strategies to reach the next generation for Christ.  We're planning for the future together.  Thank you Tios!

Thank you readers for your faithfulness in supporting us.  We are constantly amazed by the ways you've blessed us.  May you continue to be overwhelmed by His love.

In Him,

Xau and Anna

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...
