Don't Draw Back

But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.
Hebrews 10:39

God's faithfulness gives us the promise we need to endure. It's not always easy, but it is always worth it.

You may have seen some pictures on Facebook of our travels, but don't be fooled.  We weren't just sight seeing :).  In Leon, Guanajuato we taught for the week on Youth Ministry.

This church, Arbol de Vida (Tree of Life) is raising up a Rhema Bible Institute, which is critical in this region where a strong religious spirit and few evangelical churches make solid biblical training particularly essential.

Sharing the Good News with others isn't always easy.  But it is a privilege. We had the opportunity to facilitate an evangelism training with the leaders at this church in the Federal District.

Thanks to our friend Paulina Sanchez, we were able to travel to San Luis Potosi (a state five hours north of Mexico City).  She is a graduate of Hearts in Action's "To the Great Commission" conference and works as the leader of children's ministry in her church--Agape Christian Center.

We got to teach the kids at this public school about the importance of respecting others: treating them how we would want to be treated.

Xaume taught these potential missionaries and pastors about the importance of children's ministry- emphasizing Jesus' words in the gospels concerning them (see Matthew 18 & 19).

Paulina's church has sent a missionary couple to work in this dusty farming community about an hour away from the city.
Here we are sharing the message of Jesus with the kids!

Praise God for the many parents and leaders who are serving or are interested in working with children!  On Saturday we walked them through a three-hour training, encouraging them in this calling.

And then, on Sunday we shared with the kids at all four services!  The lesson focuses on Mark 16:15-- Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation!

Praise you, God for your faithfulness and your heart for the children and youth!  We want to see your Kingdom break through more and more.

Thank you readers for your faithfulness to pray for us and sow into this ministry.  We seek His continual guidance and revelation as we long to spread His message more effectively every day.  He is our provider!

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...
