Continual Thanksgiving

I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.  I will boast in the Lord; the humble will hear and be glad.  Proclaim Yahweh's greatness with me; let us exalt His name together.

Psalm 34:1-3

We praise You, God, for your greatness - for the power of Your Name!

Choose Life Outreaches

#1:
It was perfect timing to have an outreach the first of the month.  Typically it's the kids' equivalent of trick-or-treat - sort of.  We could not believe how many people were out in the street that night!   The fact that this church had closed off their street made it possible to reach those passing by.

Seeing the youth from this church take action is so exciting for us!   From dancing, to helping with the lesson and presenting a drama, they did a great job.  That's the idea - that they can be empowered to facilitate the outreach themselves.  Neighbors, passers-by and kids eager for treats gathered round.  They especially liked our skits and object lessons :)

But what was really exciting was witnessing their reaction to the message of Life and Hope.  As we closed, Xaume shared the Truth: we all are hungry.  And despite the things that beg our attention, none satisfies other than Christ Jesus.  Many of the kids and adults raised their hands to receive Him for the very first time that night- face-paint and all.

The young couple on the left side of this picture is preparing to ask Jesus to be their Lord.  I had the privilege to pray for their son who also made his decision that night.

Praise God for speaking into the lives of the unreached in this neighborhood.  We pray that they hunger for more of Him and can connect with this church!

#2:
Efeso - is the name of this church.  Throughout the past few years we've done trainings, youth camps, outreaches and teachings with them.  This year they embarked on a feeding program focused on unreached kids in the community.

The youth are really taking the lead.  Once a month these 70 kids come and hear the Word in a dynamic format and later get a huge breakfast.  We got to do the Choose Life lesson with them - discipling them with the Truth of God's Word.

Thank you God for each life!  Help these little ones stay strong in Your Truth and to minister to their families!

Children's Leader Trainings

We had two more successful training sessions with the leaders of South Christian Center.  The pastor and leaders have expressed their gratitude multiple times as they're challenged to engage the next generation with the dynamic Word of God!

Youth Service

Xaume was one of the guest speakers at this youth conference in the State of Mexico.  As he ministered on God's call, many young people were challenged to recognize the reality of following Christ.  It's not about an emotion.  It's about bravery and obedience.

To the Great Commission Guatemala!

We have been so blessed to be a part of Heart's in Action's Great Commission Conference Guatemala 2015!!  Every year in November, students from different countries come together for a two-week intensive missions training - with a focus on children and youth.

It's been an encouraging time of passing the vision on to these students, sharing time together and pressing into Him in prayer and worship!

Of course we had to take a jungle walk!  Despite the million bug bites (that's why we're laughing), we treasure it since we first met and got to know each other here!

And...we had a productive day together with the leaders of Hearts in Action's bases (7 bases in 5 countries - Guatemala, Peru, Colombia, Mexico & USA).   Praise Him we were all able to be together for a time of keeping the vision and mutual encouragement!

What a privilege to share God's Word.  The 43 students are so eager to learn and put into practice!  Pray for them to listen and obey His call as they finish out this next week and as head back home.

Thank you for viewing / reading!  We thank God for who He is and the ways He continues to surprise us.   Please pray for us to absorb all He wants us to learn, to minister His power and grace to those around us, and to continually receive His direction for what's ahead.

We bless you in Jesus' Name!  And Happy Thanksgiving!

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
