Two Twelfths

We...must tell a future generation the praises of the Lord, His might, and the wonderful works He has performed.

Psalm 78:4

Once again - at a moment where we find time flying by!  Two twelfths of the year are up.  But we thank God for the opportunities we had to speak His Word!

This was a month of training - urging others to take on Jesus' heart towards kids.  And not only to love them, but to sow God's Word in their hearts in a way they will be able to take hold of.

These photos are from a training seminar at a church called "Living Word" here in the southern part of the city.  Even though this area is on the border of the neighbouring state, it's packed with people.  The church is eager to grow it's children's ministry and therefore reach out to families in the community.

This sweet girl wanted her own copy! :)

Rhema Bible Church, Mexico invited us to teach a third seminar with their kids' leaders.  They really went all out and made it a whole event with Valentine's balloons and food and everything! Here, we're looking up over 30 verses that have to do with children and passing His truth onto them.

The best part of the time with leaders is when there's breakthrough.  Something happens in their spirits when they absorb the reality of God's longing for children to walk with Him.  Keep praying for these children's leaders to run with His vision and His passion for eternal impact in the young generations.

Surprised as we were at the request, we were honoured to be invited to Leon, Guanajuato to present Hearts in Action's weekend seminar called Passing the Torch.   A group of nine pastors of different denominations teamed together to make it possible.  That's a particularly challenging task, especially in Mexico.

Praise God, the attendees responded well.  For many it was an eye-opening time as to the importance of children's ministry.  Others mentioned that it provided ideas and tools they'd been praying for.

Xau has been doing an awesome job filming and uploading videos!  It's a bit of work, but we hope it can give a taste of what these seminars are all about. If you'd like to watch, they're all on our Facebook page Corazones en Accion Mexico.  Here's the link for the Passing the Torch Seminar:

(P.S. If you know someone who knows about video & photo and wants to come volunteer with us, let us know!)

Trainings aside, we've had two other big projects underway this month.  First, what you see here below: THE STORAGE SPACE.   Underneath our parking area, we have a storage area, that, to say the least, has been in need of attention for some time now...

So, this month we've undertaken the challenge, along with a hired helper, to go through everything, organize and fix it up.  It's currently a mess - hence no other photos for the time being. But, we have faith for what it will be soon!  Please keep this in prayer as it requires not only time, but funds as well.

(Speaking of storage spaces, the video from our closet makeover project in Leon is up on Youtube!  Check it out!:)

Second: teaching at Rhema Bible Institute, Mexico.  We've had the privilege of teaching Introduction to Children's Ministry at the central campus here in the city.  It's exciting to challenge the 74 Bible students to include this vital ministry in their callings!

That's it for now...props to you for reading!  Muchas gracias; it really means so much to us.  May you be blessed in your comings and goings and in all you do!

A special thanks to you who give financially and those of you who pray regularly for us.  God is using you to spread His message in this nation.

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
