God said to Moses, "I am who I am.  This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I am has sent me to you.'" Exodus 3:14   View of the neighborhood from Twist Ixtapaluca   I am. A promise so profound there were no other words.   We get to discover His identity all along the way. He is ... provider, protector, perfect love. To "I am" all the glory for the past, the present and the future! While we've been having a great time these past couple weeks in Ohio, it was a whirlwind of activity before we took off.  So, just to fill you in on earlier this month... Xau and Lalo held a training at a church we had never worked with before.  Here it was Lalo's (our team member Ale's husband) turn to teach.  He has such a servant's heart; we've been incorporating him whenever possible.  In the region of Chimalhuacan, (State of Mexico) Conquering Frontiers has a church plant where we did one last Choose Life lesso...

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my POWER is made perfect in weakness."  Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.  - 2 Corinthians 12:9 Oaxacan mountain town, Huautla (7 hrs. away).  Orange mums are typical for the Day of the Dead. This verse.   Only He can turn our weaknesses into beauty.  We're at one of those points.  One of those moments where He reminds us once again to totally trust Him.  What a trustworthy God we serve! Xaume and Jesus Cruz accompanied mission pastor Braulio on the long trip to the Oaxacan mountains for a weekend of Day of the Dead kids' outreach lessons and an all-day training seminar for local churches.   Braulio lives here in Mexico City and travels every two weeks to pastor in his hometown of Huautla. Jesus is serving with him to establish the kids' outreach program. Jesus Cruz teaching at the semin...

I will rejoice and be glad in Your faithful love because You have seen my affliction.  You have known the troubles of my life  and have not handed me over to the enemy. You have set my feet in a spacious place.  Psalm 31:7-8 Praise God for His faithful love!  We're so thankful for Malakai's recovery and to have  these two boys back together .   It's a stretching and fun time as I try to figure out how to balance being mom and helping with ministry. I love His promise to put us in a spacious place as we surrender to Him. Earlier this month Xaume taught and facilitated a couple of children's worker trainings.  At this church, our friend Lalo did a great job doing some of the teaching! (photo below).  Praise God for his help.  He and his wife Ale are a big blessing to us and the ministry.  Keep praying for God's timing, open doors, and provision for their calling.   Here below Xaume and a team...

You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result - the survival of many people.    Genesis 50:20 On September 24th, Malakai had a brief loss of consciousness.  We didn't know it at the time, but later found out that it was a type of convulsive crisis.  Not until another episode on the 26th did the doctors discover that this was due to a rare case of the chickenpox virus that caused brain swelling (encephalitis).  On the 28th he started a 14-day  intravenous  antiviral  treatment which required him to stay at the hospital.  I, Anna, stayed with him during the days to nurse and left bottles for the night feedings.   His MRI shows no negative effects on his brain, praise God. He was finally discharged yesterday, October 12th!  He is alert and happier than ever. At the hospital everyone was calling Malakai by his middle name, Joseph.  (Malakai was apparently too tricky.) At t...
