I will rejoice and be glad in Your faithful love
because You have seen my affliction.
You have known the troubles of my life
and have not handed me over to the enemy.
You have set my feet in a spacious place.
Psalm 31:7-8

Praise God for His faithful love!  We're so thankful for Malakai's recovery and to have these two boys back together.   It's a stretching and fun time as I try to figure out how to balance being mom and helping with ministry. I love His promise to put us in a spacious place as we surrender to Him.

Earlier this month Xaume taught and facilitated a couple of children's worker trainings.  At this church, our friend Lalo did a great job doing some of the teaching! (photo below).  Praise God for his help.  He and his wife Ale are a big blessing to us and the ministry.  Keep praying for God's timing, open doors, and provision for their calling.

Here below Xaume and a team from Conquering Frontiers church did a values lesson at this public school.  Afterwards, a couple from church asked about the possibility of initiating Hearts in Action's Festival of Values curriculum.  Pray for God's direction and will so that more and more kids can hear God's Word!

Even though Malakai is home, there are so many parents who will stay weeks or months more at the hospital.  Knowing what a heavy environment it is, I talked to the social communications office about going every once in a while to play keyboard and sing. I was surprised that they were very happy to welcome me :)  Pray for God's Spirit to minister to parents and kids through these worship songs.

Choose Life lessons have begun!  It's that time of year again - Day of the Dead season.  This year the lesson is a series of "experiment" object lessons that tie in God's call for us to separate ourselves from evil and to help others come out of darkness.  For the Christian audiences we emphasize how God's Word is the stimulus we need to cause a reaction, or change in our lives.   And at outreaches our focus is how Jesus is the only one who can cleanse our hearts and cause lasting change in our spirits.

Choose Life lesson at Word of Faith Church

We're glad we always get to involve the youth at this church.

Pray for God's power and light to break forth in a special way during this season. We recognize the beauty in remembering loved ones. But celebrating the spirit of death is what we want kids and parents to step away from.

Choose Life outreach in Chalco Valley - the colonia where the second Kids' Club Twist meets.

Both Twist Kids' Clubs will do the Choose Life lesson this Saturday, and this evening Twist Ixtapaluca will do their outreach lesson.

Xaume is currently on his way to Oaxaca to minister in the mountain village of Huautla.  Our friend Braulio has a mission there where they'll be holding several Choose Life outreaches and a Passing the Torch seminar.   It's a busy time. Please pray for supernatural rest, protection and wisdom.  There are so many things we'd like to do. Pray for us to be led by His Spirit.

Thank you!!!  You're loving support and powerful prayers mean the world to us.  May He "set your feet in a spacious place!"

Time

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—  making the most of the time, because the days are evil.    -Ephesians 5:15-16 God gave me a word for each month this year and February's word was TIME.  The goal: listening AND OBEYING His direction for how to spend time. He knows best - so yielding to His Word has been a challenge since I often think I know what needs to be done and when. But it's so refreshing when we do obey and get to experience His perfect wisdom!   Pray for these ones to continue to grow in their knowledge and walk with God! This past month... Crece Church Plant News:  Two women (mother and daughter) were baptized - expressing their desire to follow Christ completely.  Despite all her nerves and wanting to back out, Imara taught her first time on a Sunday morning! She was baptized last February. (Brayan also preached this month - we continue to encourage ones to let themselves be stretched and u...

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

Pressed

“We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ It’s been a tough month. Good things but also some heavy pushback, spiritually. I’ve been prayerfully aware of the weight of this area we’ve targeted to minister in: Ecatepec. The name literally means “hill of the god of the air.” We know there’s quite a stronghold of the enemy in the region. And though it often feels like we’re working a pickax, we’re thankful  that His praise is the constant. And for the promise that we WILL NOT BE CRUSHED.  Highlights:  Worship night at Karina’s  home  (just two blocks from Crece church)  this Saturday night!  It was a great  time for the young people to come together, have some good hang out time and then mov...
