God said to Moses, "I am who I am.  This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I am has sent me to you.'"
Exodus 3:14

I am. A promise so profound there were no other words.
We get to discover His identity all along the way.

He is ...
provider,
protector,
perfect love.

To "I am" all the glory for the past, the present and the future!

While we've been having a great time these past couple weeks in Ohio, it was a whirlwind of activity before we took off.  So, just to fill you in on earlier this month...

Xau and Lalo held a training at a church we had never worked with before.  Here it was Lalo's (our team member Ale's husband) turn to teach.  He has such a servant's heart; we've been incorporating him whenever possible.

In the region of Chimalhuacan, (State of Mexico) Conquering Frontiers has a church plant where we did one last Choose Life lesson before the year was over. They were inaugurating their new kids' area, and for many kids it was their first time visiting!

To end the year, we hosted a dinner for the leaders of each of the Twist Kids' Clubs as well as those interested in or planning to open one in 2019. The pastor above, Ignacia, started a kids' club a couple months ago with which we will now parter officially starting in January.

We wrote and facilitated this Christmas assembly for LIDS college - a small Christian school.  My favorite part was when we handed out mini picture books for each family so they could directly narrate the Christmas story and pray with their children.

It was so rewarding to get to attend the Christmas celebrations at the two Twist Kids' clubs.  I loved witnessing how both churches have taken on more ownership of the clubs and have developed relationships with the kids.

Ale Rendon (team member) worked so hard to raise funds for these special gatherings.  Thanks to her, and many donors, we were able to give out mini Bibles to each of the children, give away two bicycles, fill piñatas with candy, give away 30 Twist T-shirts and more!

This Ohio visit has been a great time of reflection, prayer, visional conversations and getting to spend wonderful time with loved ones!

Thank you for being a beautiful part of our lives and of His story!

HAPPY 2019!!

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
