Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely.  And may your soul, spirit and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
HE WHO CALLS YOU IS FAITHFUL, WHO ALSO WILL DO IT.
1 Thessalonians 5:22-24

Family news: eagerly awaiting Malakai's arrival in July!  Praise God the pregnancy is going well,  and we completed our classes at the hospital so Xaume should be able to be there with me when the time comes to deliver!  Thank you for praying : )

What a month!  While we've both been busy in different ways, God's faithfulness continues to strengthen us and affirm that HE is the one who does the work in and through us.

Mitch, a young man from one of the local churches we work with, accompanied Xau and Jesus on the trip to San Luis. His service was a huge help!

Passing the Torch Seminar made for a big weekend for Xaume, Mitch and Jesus.  Held in San Luis Potosi (a 6-hour drive north), the all-day conference is designed to give intensive instruction and ideas for effective kids' ministry.

Jesus teaching one of the sessions.  Since I wasn't able to physically be at the seminar, I sent a video conference that I recorded here at home!

One-hundred and forty teachers, volunteers and parents attended the seminar!  Pray that they can put the teaching into practice!

Wanting to make the most of the trip, on Sunday, Xaume and the team ministered to the kids in each of the four campuses of the host-church.  By incorporating a different kind of lesson using simple science experiments and giving Biblical applications, the kids were encouraged and teachers challenged to be intentionally creative in their classrooms.

Back in the city, Xaume had an exciting opportunity to teach at a Bible institute at a church we had not worked with before.   The 5,000 member Church of the Lord, is active in church planting.  They recently opened an intensive training center for their pastors and leaders. Xau had the chance to sow the Word of God and vision for kids' ministry two days straight - with over 14 hours of class!

And... we completed our "Top Teachers" class at church!  Here we are with our fellow "classmates" - Isaac and Lala - the full-time children's leaders.

Xaume preaching at Emmanuel Church. Pray for this Body to be continually built up and fortified!

So blessed.  The kids'  ministry at church organized a big baby shower for us!  Our cell group and a friend of mine also had baby showers for me.   God truly surprises us with His provision and support.

To close the month, Twist Kids' Club Ixtapaluca celebrated their one-year anniversary!  It's certainly been a year of challenges for the teachers and the local church.  But we praise God that He is the one who remains faithful and HE is the one who is causing change in the lives of these kids!  Keep praying for His glory to break through in the lives of the church and community.

Kids receiving their awards and prizes.

Twist Director Damaris receiving her achievement award.

Pastors Rene and Gina - who have recently taken the local pastors Juan and Paty under their pastoral covering - praying for healing!

Kids celebrating on the inflatables we rented for the day :)

That's all for now :)  Thank you so much for taking the time to read. It means so much to us.  And thank you, thank you, thank you for partnering with us by interceeding on our behalf and for planting in us.

May you be encouraged by His faithfulness to fulfill His purpose in each of you!  All our love.

Time

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—  making the most of the time, because the days are evil.    -Ephesians 5:15-16 God gave me a word for each month this year and February's word was TIME.  The goal: listening AND OBEYING His direction for how to spend time. He knows best - so yielding to His Word has been a challenge since I often think I know what needs to be done and when. But it's so refreshing when we do obey and get to experience His perfect wisdom!   Pray for these ones to continue to grow in their knowledge and walk with God! This past month... Crece Church Plant News:  Two women (mother and daughter) were baptized - expressing their desire to follow Christ completely.  Despite all her nerves and wanting to back out, Imara taught her first time on a Sunday morning! She was baptized last February. (Brayan also preached this month - we continue to encourage ones to let themselves be stretched and u...

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

Pressed

“We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ It’s been a tough month. Good things but also some heavy pushback, spiritually. I’ve been prayerfully aware of the weight of this area we’ve targeted to minister in: Ecatepec. The name literally means “hill of the god of the air.” We know there’s quite a stronghold of the enemy in the region. And though it often feels like we’re working a pickax, we’re thankful  that His praise is the constant. And for the promise that we WILL NOT BE CRUSHED.  Highlights:  Worship night at Karina’s  home  (just two blocks from Crece church)  this Saturday night!  It was a great  time for the young people to come together, have some good hang out time and then mov...
