September 2020

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 7:11

This month we simply want to testify to the goodness of God. We are so thankful.  Grace is doing beautifully, and we are sleeping more hours at night!  Little by little we are getting into the new swing of things.  Of course, we ask you to pray always for wisdom in time-management.

Praise God we are feeling well, never having any symptoms, and we've now graduated out of our strict month-quarantine (after the positive COVID results).  We're thankful to have been able to stock up at Costco and buy Liam's school supplies and other needs online.

Before you click on the video, we just want to say this is all for God's glory.  Through your generosity, God has provided supernaturally (this year especially).  We've invested in the ministry and have also been able to renovate a part of the property.

If you remember from a couple months ago, we planned originally on using the remodelled space for guests and AirBnB (still possible for the future).  However, God opened the door for us to be able to use it currently as our office.  After many years of dreaming of having a designated ministry office space, we officially have one!

Let's take a look back at a few years ago... as you can see the space was quite different.

It's truly a miracle and a testimony!  Thank you.  We've dedicated it to God's glory and know that it all belongs to Him.

Other news from the month includes Xau writing kids' lessons for different churches' online transmissions, leading a devotional for HIA Peru, and meeting via Zoom with the Twist Kids' Club leaders as they find creative ways to start up again.

Twist Chalco plans to do lessons with small groups of kids in homes. Pastora Judith has about twenty volunteers she's organizing to break up into teams. Twist Ixtapaluca is to rotate by age-range each week and implementing safety precautions (one week 4-6 year-olds, one week 7-9s and one week 10-12s).

Thank you for reading and always rooting for us. We feel so loved - even at a distance.  Sending hugs from all and snuggles from Grace :)

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
