November 2021

Life was in Him, and that life was the light of men.  That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it. - John 1:4-5

Thank you all for your prayers this month (and always!).  We're grateful that each one of the Twist Club sites organized successful Choose Life outreach lessons during the Day of the Dead season.

 Choose Life kick-off

And we are so thrilled that one of the clubs officially re-opened at a new site!  Praying for them as they get off the ground, form their team and prepare the new space.

Here they are! Twist Aragon (north of the city) starting up again.

Current Twist Club locations

Judith in front of her home - one of our super stars.  Leader of the Twist cell groups in Valle de Chalco, she has an unrelenting heart for the young generations.

Please keep these faithful workers in prayer - for covering, provision, encouragement, and above all, to guard their personal time with the Father.

Other news from the month...

Xau did lots of teaching and preaching! - at least 30 hours - both in the city as well as in three other states.  I got to share a couple times as well :)
Youth camp where Xau shared about our purpose and identity in Christ.

A time to encourage and serve some ice cream to this group of warriors: some of the teachers from Twist Chalco.

And of course we had to celebrate Thanksgiving!  I tried my hand at a persimmon bread recipe, which I now highly recommend :)

Thankful for each of you! Praying His love surround and fortify your hearts.

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
