What He Says

God replied to Moses, "I AM who I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you." - Exodus 3:14

June story:

This month, we took a step of obedience.  Friend of the family, twenty-year-old Aaron has been facing a variety of challenges in his life, leading him to a very critical moment.  After talking it over, Xau and I were in agreement to host him as an intern for the month. It was something only God could put in our hearts.

It "just so happens," that a pastor friend of ours sent another intern, Benito just this month (on summer vacation from college). That was a God-send. The two could go together to the work projects at church, Kids' club, Bible Institute, etc.

Even though, Xau is still very invested in spending intentional time with Aaron, Benito came along as a great help (something he didn't foresee).

Kai had to get his hands on some tools, too 😅 (supervised, of course)

The journey for Aaron has had it's ups and downs - there have been days of great breakthrough and deliverance, and days of regression and downfalls.  But we are praising God for the work HE is doing. I really sense there's been a breaking point for him, and he's in this process of "coming back" - to who he truly is in Christ.  He's now taking steps to re-order his life, and make those tough decisions about how to go forward and not turn back.

Thank you for praying for Aaron and Benito!  While Benito heads back to his hometown tonight, Aaron will be staying with us these next two weeks, and then plans to reintegrate back home. Please pray for God to seal this work in his heart, for all power of the enemy to be broken and severed, and for him to stand his ground, growing in the power and self-control of the Holy Spirit.

Heritage gang - check out the wall they helped finish. Here below, getting to show it off for Thursday night Bible study!  (Another praise - we finally purchased a projector of our own for Crece!)

Remember, Vale (last month's post)? Praise God precious baby Matilde is out of the hospital, home and even came to visit us at church last Sunday! ↓

Joce holds baby Matilde as mama Vale proudly looks on. The two guys are Vale's brothers who have been coming to church these past few weeks!

While the spiritual battle has been intense, suffice it to say, we press on - focusing on what God speaks over us and how He directs us, regardless of what we see in the natural.

Help us to keep praying through this phrase God's given me: A less busy life is a more fulfilled life...

Moments from this month:

Couples' night at Crece! On my heart to give couples a space to come together, have fun,  be edified by the Word, and TALK about it. Even though there were just five couples, plus Xau and I, it's a start. Praying that seed go far! (I hope to plan one of these times every couple months or so). Plus, we all had a good laugh doing the "paint each other" challenge 😂

Xau, the kids and I visited Twist Kids' Club, Ixtapaluca as they celebrated their seventh anniversary! Most of the kids really didn't know us (a whole new generation), but we did get to see familiar faces of several teens and volunteers.  Pictured with me above is Yatziri. Pray for her precious life!

Pastor Juan and this church / Kids' club have gone through a whole score of changes and challenges. But it was encouraging to see them persevere through it all - looking to love on and sow into these young ones.

Brayan and his dad, Carlos cutting the Father's Day cakes at Crece.  Please pray for all the dads. So many deal with alcoholism, anger, and abandoning their children / wives.

Xau - here in the upper corner - recorded hours of a Children's ministry class for a Bible institute in the State of Mexico. They were so grateful for such great content.

And here he is preaching at a men's conference. His topic: The Great Escape - a message about mens' need to escape into something and how that something is in Christ!

As always, thank you so much for taking time to read through this. We praise God for you! Looking forward for our summer visit to the States :)

We’ll be sharing at Heritage on July 30th at 6:30 for those able to join!

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
