Wrap Up

For in Him we live, and move, and have our being...Acts 17:28

One year. Once again. Can you believe it?! As we end one and start another, our prayer is: Jesus, be our all in all; we can do nothing apart from YOU.

We were blessed with yet another gift-trip to Ohio for Christmas. I didn't know how it was going to be possible, but God, as He has time and time again, did. Just thankful.

Before traveling State-side, we celebrated at Twist Kids' Club, and Crece church hosted a packed, lovely Christmas dinner. While we're out, several leaders will be teaching.

Explaining Jesus' "Great exchange" - how he took our rubbish and gave us everlasting life

2024 stats from Crece church plant (meaning "Grow"; pronounced Kreh-say):

  • Implemented printing weekly devotionals; this year we worked our way through Romans, Luke, Revelation and now finishing Acts (handed out each Sunday)
  • Monthly leaders' discipleship (5 people)
  • Delegated Twist Kids' Club Ecatepec to volunteer leadership (Xau and I now help out only once about every 4-6 weeks)
  • Started online Women's prayer each Tuesday night in June

  • Anna helped lead worship 22 Sundays of the year and taught 7 sermons
  • Xaume preached 28 Sundays (now delegates Sunday teaching twice a month) and 33 Thursday evening studies
  • Bi-quarterly youth events led by Brayan
  • For those who like graphs: Average Sunday attendance at Crece = 18 adults, 7 kids
Other fun facts from the year:
  • Taught 12 teacher trainings reaching 391 children's teachers and workers
  • 1,534 others impacted through outreaches, speaking, and missions
  • Intern Janet started as our personal assistant. She just recently got back from the To the Great Commission training in Peten Guatemala with Mario and Suzanne & team!
  • Anna had lasik eye surgery - praise God that despite a complication, her eye sight is now excellent!
  • Xau started running again to stay in good health
  • Liam starred in their school's Christmas musical (doctor below) and loves sports
  • Kai is learning to swim and is starting to read
  • Grace is doing great in preschool - excelling in singing, dancing and learning the letter "G"

Thank you so much for being part of our lives. We truly thank God for you! May you be blessed IN HIM and continue to be surprised by His love and power.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
