Wrapping up!

What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything? - Romans 8:31-32

Worth-it view after our epic drive for a couple nights in Huatulco

We want to thank you. Thank you to each of you for tracking with us, for praying for us, for joining us in petition, for laughing and crying and being with us. Thank you for your generosity in giving towards the Kingdom.

What a year it has been. As we reflect, let's recount what He has done, celebrate who He is, and let Him fill us with vision for the next step.

What God has done:

He's opened hearts to confession and healing. He's convicted the proud and wooed them to repentance. He's brought co-laborers alongside us. He's healed the sick. He's ministered to the lonely and hopeless. He's brought His Spirit of Hope to bruised lives. He's opened ones to His gospel. He's provided supernaturally for physical and financial needs. He's given encouragement and created companionship.

He's been with us through it all - listening to our heartache, responding with His love; taking our confusion and speaking His Truth; challenging us to trust Him and urging us to rejoice in the joy of WHO HE IS.

In the days that remain of 2025, I assigned myself a challenge: list out 365 things to be thankful for. Easy right? Well, I haven't worked on it these past few days, but am currently at 257 😅. Give it a try!

One of the Twist celebrations. It was so special to give the kids a fun and meaningful time together. From ponche (traditional hot fruited punch) hot dogs, games & the Christmas story, these festivities ended with piñatas! (typical at Christmas parties)

💫
Thank you to all who gave towards the Christmas activities. We had a lovely Christmas dinner for the community.  About 50 adults and 25 kids came out - many parents of Twist kids and several newcomers. We started off with an ice-breaker, sang carols together, heard from God's Word, had a scrumptious home-made meal (youth helped serve), got goody bags and even had a few raffle prizes!

Thanks for keeping these cuties in your prayers.

Thank you, once again. We are honored to hold a place in your hearts. As we look to 2026, help us lift up these requests to the Father:

1. Pay-off Crece church facilities renovations and sound system: $3,000
2. Bathroom install at Crece (desperately needed as there is only ONE toilet & no running water): $1,500
3. Staff support raising: $1,050 per month (12,600)
4. New chairs for Crece/Twist: $1,000
5. Twist materials & volunteer support: $4,100

Plus, we'd love to host mission trips in 2026! Let us know if you want to hear more :)

Thank you and bless you! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Time

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—  making the most of the time, because the days are evil.    -Ephesians 5:15-16 God gave me a word for each month this year and February's word was TIME.  The goal: listening AND OBEYING His direction for how to spend time. He knows best - so yielding to His Word has been a challenge since I often think I know what needs to be done and when. But it's so refreshing when we do obey and get to experience His perfect wisdom!   Pray for these ones to continue to grow in their knowledge and walk with God! This past month... Crece Church Plant News:  Two women (mother and daughter) were baptized - expressing their desire to follow Christ completely.  Despite all her nerves and wanting to back out, Imara taught her first time on a Sunday morning! She was baptized last February. (Brayan also preached this month - we continue to encourage ones to let themselves be stretched and u...

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

Pressed

“We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ It’s been a tough month. Good things but also some heavy pushback, spiritually. I’ve been prayerfully aware of the weight of this area we’ve targeted to minister in: Ecatepec. The name literally means “hill of the god of the air.” We know there’s quite a stronghold of the enemy in the region. And though it often feels like we’re working a pickax, we’re thankful  that His praise is the constant. And for the promise that we WILL NOT BE CRUSHED.  Highlights:  Worship night at Karina’s  home  (just two blocks from Crece church)  this Saturday night!  It was a great  time for the young people to come together, have some good hang out time and then mov...
