Patient Waiting

“Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.” - ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬

“Wait. Patiently.” This has been God’s Word to me. “And enjoy this season.” He is so good at ministering His peace to us, even in the unknowns.

March praises:

- Liam turned 10 years old! 🥳

- We continue to see God’s hand building Crece church and Twist. 🔨

- Over 20 youth came to an outreach dinner, played games and received the Word. 🍽️

- Xau and I taught a children’s ministry seminar last weekend at a church we’d never worked with before. They were very grateful and excited to implement strategies. 📕

- We’re currently on a  family trip  in San Luis Potosí (6-8 hrs central north-west) to celebrate with a church here in the opening of their second Twist Kids’ Club! ✂️ Even Tere, Xau’s mom joined us!

Challenges this month:

- One of our collaborators asked for a time to step back from leadership roles for a few months. This was tough at first, but necessary for him to focus on His relationship with the Father and evaluate his calling. 🙌

- I’ve gotten braces 😬 which have been very painful as they’re using an aggressive method to accelerate the process. Persevering and waiting it out trusting that it will be worth it. 😅

- It’s been a lot going on, so Xau is catching up on rest. 💤

Thanks so much for reading and keeping up with us. Thank you for praying. Thank you for financially supporting. Thank you for being a friend to us.

Bless you! And may He fill you up as we wait expectantly on Him. :)

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
