Everlasting

He was given authority to rule, and glory, and a kingdom; so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.  - Daniel 7:14

1. Ohio trip!:

For our 14th anniversary, Xau and I were gifted a getaway to Hocking Hills! It was a sweet time to be together, rest, vision-cast and listen.

Now back in the big city, we are basking in gratitude for the Ohio visit. We had precious family meals, celebrations, meetings, new friends, catching up with loved ones, rest, good conversations, paper work, wood-splitting, song-recording, cousin time and lots of park trips and fun with the kids!

After some “kicking and fighting” on my end facing the transition back, God took my outcry, the dread, and gave me in exchange assurance: in a word, that I am His image-bearer. He brought me back to simplicity, giving me strategies to focus on.

At the moment the visa interview is being rescheduled (due to the recent pause). So, we wait and watch in the Spirit - trusting His purpose as we get to seek and serve Him wherever we are in the world. We have released all the time-lines to His care.

2. Women’s breakfast outreach:

This recent initiative is specifically geared toward Twist kiddos’ moms but really for any women in the neighborhood. This past month, two dear Crece women, Karina and Rocio, hosted one at church, and Twist coordinator, Pris, another at “La Palma” site.

It’s designed to come together, share a meal and hear/discuss God’s Word together. For many of the ladies it’s their first real exposure to the gospel and hearing God's true heart.

3. Team-work:

We're so thankful for these ones who've done a great job ministering even in our absence. We’re currently sponsoring four of them in attending a local Bible institute - one in-person and three online.

Please pray strengthening over the Crece and Twist Kids’ Club teams - that He continue to pour out His Spirit and power over them and give us all insight, wisdom, revelation and unity as we follow-up these months and equip for the future.

4. Support-raising:

Thank you for being with us in this journey! We recognize and honor each part in the Body - as you have given, prayed, loved us, and simply taken the time to read these updates!

Again, apologies on the confusion of the previous bar graph. I’ve tried again 😅. This is our annual goal budget for operations in Mexico.

Raising this additional funding will allow us to finance the continued work in Mexico, as our current support would enable us to begin State-side.

*One other petition we have is for a ministry van (15-passenger) to use for Twist, Crece church, mission groups, etc. [$23,000]

If you’d like to commit to a certain amount or category, please let me know so I can update the graph! And, of course, if you know of anyone who may be interested in partnership, we’d be honored to connect.

Thank thank, thank you, thank you!  We are expectant on Him, rejoicing in His Kingdom - which is everlasting, true, pure and perfect.

Love and hugs,

The Buenos

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

To Him

For from Him and through Him and to HIM are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.  -Romans 11:36 July highlights: Women's breakfast at  La Palma : At this Twist start-up site, we are seeing many moms hungry for the gospel. Once-a-month, volunteers from Crece church will be coordinating a breakfast-Bible time for them to join their kiddos in drawing near (currently, Twist is happening here two Saturdays per month). This is the beginning of a church plant...  Interview date! We finally heard back: Xau's Visa-Greencard interview is on September 17th in Ciudad Juarez (border town). Praise God! Praying and planning for next steps - asking for HIS direction and provision in all things. Xau had great trips to Monterrey, Chiapas and San Luis Potosi to teach at youth camps, preach and teach children's ministry seminars. Liam went with him to San Luis :) In one town where they ministered, the couple has been pastoring for 27 years. They'd been praying for God to ...
