Home and Back

Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.
Hebrews 13:1

Coming back from Leon, Guanajuato
It doesn't matter where we're ministering.  Love is the key factor.

Our church hosted a marriage retreat in Acapulco and encouraged us to remember how important it is to invest in our relationship. It was a great time to reflect and share together.

While I was away in Ohio, Xaume stayed busy!  He spoke at this youth conference about who we are in Christ: His light.

He also facilitated a training at a this church, located five minutes away from a women's prison.  Translation: a really tough area.
Here's a video link of the kids saying, "This generation belongs to Jesus!"

Kids Video Link!

He also took two separate scouting trips for youth retreat sites.  Here's one in the state of Puebla.

But I got to visit my lovely family, friends and church home in Ohio! Thank you for welcoming me back and blessing me so much during my stay!

Thank you Father God for this precious time!!! After a year in Mexico, I got to hang out with the family- including my sibs and niece and nephew :)

And thank you Heritage Christian Church for supporting us and lifting us in prayer regularly on Thursday mornings.

A special thank you to Heritage Kids- we were honored to be your missions project for the year.

Telling the kids about the power of prayer.

Praying for the people of Mexico

Upon arrival in Mexico, Xaume and I got ready to leave for Leon, Guanajuato (Five hours north).

We were invited by a church called Tree of Life to conduct the kids outreaches for the week.

A team from Kansas City came down for a missions trip, so we got to work with them and the local churches.

For most of the Americans, it was their first trip out of the States, so it was really fun to share about Mexico with them.

We shared about respect and individual value at this orphanage.
In total we went to six different sites and did a values lesson on respect with the kids.  After ministering to the kids, the USA team presented their skit and we shared the gospel with the adults.

The worship band from Tree of Life would then close the evening with a concert of Christian music.

Most areas were receptive, but we did encounter some push-back from community leaders at one site.  Thankfully, they finally gave us permission to proceed with the event.

There were other neighborhoods in which people blatantly refused the invitation, but we believe that the seeds planted will grow!

At each site we partnered with a local Christian church and invited the attendees who wanted to know more to come to services.

It was a tiring week, yes, but we were thrilled to be able to sow into these lives.

Praying with kids at one of the few Christian schools in the city
Pray with us for these children and their families to be set free from religion and to embrace the relationship available in Christ Jesus.

Thanks for reading this and encouraging us.  Please pray for us this weekend as we will be speaking at a youth retreat and as we prepare for more later in July.

Love,

Xau and Anna

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
