October

Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
Psalm 90:12

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco

Thank you all for praying for the Choose Life outreaches this month! God has been faithful as always to touch the lives of kids and adults through His Word.
HE IS OUR LIFE.

 Place: Telixtlauaca (Oaxaca)
 Choose Life lesson
 Host church: Light and Life

Here are a few pictures from the first outreach in Oaxaca - while Xaume was down there.  They're praying to give their dreams, plans, and decisions to Jesus.

Later that day Xaume gave a brief training to the children's ministry volunteers - encouraging them to continue using their creativity to reach the children in the community.

As mentioned in the last blog, Xau spoke  at this church in Oaxaca - emphasizing the importance of sowing the Word generationally in the home.

Much of the month was filled with preparation: i.e.  picking up donations of candy, writing the entire lesson plan, buying and making visuals and props, designing and printing publicity, getting publicity to the churches, practicing with the youth at different churches, etc.

By using object lessons, songs and drama, the bottom line of the lesson is to choose life!  When we face decisions, great and small, God has given us two choices: life and death, blessing and curse.  Choosing life means choosing Him, and asking Him what to do.

Just had to throw this one in here : )
From choosing what T.V. show to watch, to choosing whether to make fun of someone or to build him up, to talking to God first thing in the morning - these are all decisions.  When we put Him first, He can bless us.

(Check out Deuteronomy 30, especially verses 11-20.)

(PAUSE)
God provided for a wonderful vacation escape to the beach this month in Puerto Vallarta.  It was a much needed time to relax, reflect, and refresh! Gracias Dios!

We got to go to a friend's wedding while we were there, too!

Back in the city...

Place: San Andres (DF)

Host church: Family Restoration Christian Church

 Place: Ixtapaluca (State of Mexico)
 Choose Life lesson
 Host church: Garden of Gethsemane

At some outreaches, many new people came, at others, mostly believers were present, but in both environments God spoke to me about the importance of breaking through darkness.

I had a deep sense that these families desperately need breakthrough - regardless of where they fall across the economic spectrum.

Pray with us for each family to draw close to Him, to call upon His Name and seek the truth in Him, our life.

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...

A Man of Faith

“and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬    Juan Jaime Bueno: January 21, 1948- January 24, 2026  Xaume’s dad parted suddenly for his home with the Lord. Though we had seen a steep decline in his health and mobility, we didn’t know it would come this quickly. We honor his life as a man of faith, who treasured the Word, intercession, spiritual warfare and worship. He loved to laugh and keep up with the news. A dear friend to Xau, a father who loved him “as his own,” we will miss his regaños (scolding )  and hugs .  He loved his grandkids, and was very proud of each of them. We were proud of them as they helped unload the Operation Christmas Child boxes this December. The Crece team facilitated three outreach events where kids and families received this free gift from the Father and heard about the greatest gift: a relationship with Him.  La Palma outreach Zumpango Christmas Child Outreach...
