“Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 HCSB

Well, the big news this month was an impromptu trip for me to Ohio! Due to my Grandmother’s passing, we felt it was important for me to be with the family and honor her life legacy.
It was a very special time - commemorating Irene Rimelspach. She was a woman of great faith, loving and cherishing and praying for her family and husband. It was an honor to read from 1 Corinthians 13 at her memorial mass. What an inspiration in how she fulfilled those qualities.
Seeing and greeting and being with family members I don’t get to see often was a beautiful highlight - and of course getting to spend precious time with my parents and siblings (worth the two-day+ travel difficulties getting to Columbus).
Sis and some cousins
Xau held down the fort! He and the kids had a tiring week - keeping the school and church routines, helping with his mom as she is having some health issues and of course having fun outings :)

Earlier in the month...

At Crece (church plant) we had a lovely lunch after service one day! A believing woman who started attending recently said her husband wanted to donate a full meal for anyone who could stay after. It was a very sweet gift and time of fellowship.

Debbie stepped up to teach the whole workshop last Saturday at Twist.

A challenge we are having is with Twist. Our main leader got a new job and can no longer serve with us :( . So we’re kind of back to the drawing board and praying for wisdom on who could step up to that role.
One of the girls who has been faithfully coming to Twist since it started drew us this great picture.

Another positive from the month was a training seminar for parents and Children’s ministry workers. It’s always quite a bit of work preparing for the teaching (7 sessions between the two of us) but we love it. The church and attendees were very responsive and grateful. They asked for a sequel training in June.
We ask for your prayers to keep our eyes on Jesus. As we see breakthroughs and face challenges our main desire is to love God and love people. It’s hard not to get impatient wanting to see people grow in their walk faster, but all we can do is be faithful and obedient. Pray for stamina and refreshing in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Mother's Day outing
Our love and best to all of you ❤️ Hoping we can all come up to Ohio this summer as the kids are always asking and asking 😂

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
