Good and Perfect Gifts

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  James 1:17

What a joy. Our Ohio trip to me felt like this over and over: a gift. It was simply a gift from the Father. Getting to see and spend time with my family, as Xau says "in my habitat," was so refreshing. Visiting dear friends and being in the community of believers was just needed.

Celebrating our 12th Anniversary

When people here ask me if I miss "my country," really I don't feel like I miss the culture or country itself so much, (although we did get to enjoy some beautiful scenery!) but it's the people. I do miss them.

Thanks to EVERYONE who made this possible and for encouraging us all along the way. If we didn't get to see you, please know we're still thinking of you and thankful for you - time just flies!

Grace going to get "food" from the garden with Grandpa

Making Great-Grandma's pie crust recipe with Grandma

Rimelspach Olympic-theme reunion

Please pray for us as we're back getting into the swing here in this busy city. I just keep constantly asking God, "What do I need to do?" There is a lot on our hearts, but we don't want to just live busy. We want to be led by the Spirit - letting Him do the work only He can do. Please pray for wisdom to delegate and hands to take up the work.

Twist Kids' Club visit Ecatepec was encouraging - so proud to see some of these teachers and volunteers take leadership. Several of the leaders of clubs are going through tough situations. Please pray for each of them and that more kids can come and experience the love and truth of Jesus

Brave mama, Valeria dedicating Matilde.  Although dad is struggling at the moment with drug and alcohol addiction, we know God's purpose for Matilde and her family is strong! It was so exciting to hear "grandma" Maria say that she didn't use to know Jesus, but now she does, and it changes everything.

Join us in coving this work, this church plant of Crece, in prayer - that God would give the growth. That we can keep stepping back in a sense, and let Him touch people's hearts with His presence.

Thank you for loving on us. All the kindness, words of wisdom, hugs, laughs, gifts and prayers minister to us! Thank you, and thanks again, for reading. Stay in touch :)

Persevere!

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer .   -Romans 12:12 This word hit me hard at the women's retreat we attended at the beginning of the month. After my "I-don't-want-to-suffer" breakdown, God sweetly reminded me of His heart: Rejoice in the love of my salvation! It's not the suffering we're called to, but the perseverance through it to produce in us the joy and privilege of getting to walk WITH Him... And along the way we get to accompany others - praying  that they encounter Him!  Moments like this - even when just a few take look at God's Word - are glimpses of hope. Pray with us for these ones to hunger for more, seeking after Him with all their hearts! Many are facing family difficulties, pursuing false gods (namely, "la muerte"/ saint death), struggling with addictions, violence, apathy, etc. This month we had a couple good times with some of the Twist and Crece church leaders.  Special praise for Karla as she h...

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...
