In Search of JOY

"I have spoken these things to you so that My JOY may be in you and your joy may be complete."  -John 15:11

His. Complete. Joy. That is our calling :)

Xau in the Amazon! It's been quite the journey: they've hiked for hours to visit a community with no electricity (Matsés people), spent time training church volunteers in Nauta to open a kids' club, made many home visits to pray and deliver groceries in San Lorenzo as well as teach evening Bible classes and collaborate with Samaritan's Purse in planning future translation and Christmas box donations.

Praise God for their protection and continued renewal in these last days of the trip. Thank you for praying. May His glory come to the ends of the earth!

Here in CDMX (Mexico City), we've had the great gift of some very special visitors :) Grandma and Grandpa have come to the rescue to support while Xau's been gone. They have been such a blessing. Please pray for their strength and health.

Check-in by concierge Liam at the "Jujo Hotel"
Oh! And praises: Thank you! We received a donation of chairs for Crece and some funding to cover Xau's trip and some chairs and tables for Crece Kids' church 🙌 Plus, we had a couple great women's breakfasts for Mother's Day.

Thank you so much for following with us on this journey. Praying for the increase of His glory and the fullness of His joy. Love always.

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...
