Spirit and Truth

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. - John 4:24

Easter egg hunt in the courtyard :)
Praises from the month:
1. Twist Kids’ Club Tulpetlac took a trip to the zoo! Sixteen kiddos and almost as many adults made the trek on a bus rental. It was a great outing!

2. Despite two kids’ clubs discontinuing, one group that’s been meeting for years asked if they could become a Twist!

At another site, the family was no longer interested in hosting. But, praise God, another believer, just down the block, was thrilled to open her patio to continue on!

A friend of ours, Norma, has had on her heart to start a Twist club out of her home. So, Twist coordinator Pris, has been working on the jump-start there as well. They had their first three kids come this month!

These pastors, Luis and Abigaíl have been serving kids out of their home for eight years!

Kids' Day outreach there (San Pedro Cholula, Estado de México)

3. We’ve been praying each morning with Yazna in preparation for she and Xau’s three-week trip to minister Bible seminars in the Peruvian Amazon. They'll be working specifically with the Achuar people group (town: Bethel) and then with members of the indigenous Chapra who will meet them in San Lorenzo. Click here! for a link to the location where they'll be.

4. Youth group has been meeting every two weeks at Crece :) Help us pray for these young ones to grow strong in their walk with the Father.
5. Finally, Xau has been teaching a 12-hour Children's Ministry class. And we were able to share a short seminar at this church in Toluca, Estado de México.
Giving opportunities!:

1. We did print new Twist t-shirts, but are still covering the cost 🙈.  (Translation: "A new adventure every weekend",)
2. Another investment we're working on covering is chairs and tables for kids' church (since we sent the other chairs to one of the Twist sites) and additional chairs for adults.
3. Several maintenance projects at Crece church site include roofing and rain-proofing. It's getting to be too hot under the sheet roof 😬. This is a big undertaking, but we'd love to be able to both extend the roofing and do something about the heat!

4. Airfare and expenses for the Peru trip 🙏

5. We'd really like to have a larger vehicle (SUV) for traveling about the city. Our growing kids get antsy in the sedan back seat. 🛞

I know this is a lot. Help us pray for supernatural provision and wisdom in how to best administer all He gives to us.

Thank you for reading, praying, walking with us, giving, loving on us and just being there.
Be blessed, indeed!

His Imagination

What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind -- God prepared this for those who love Him.  - 1 Corinthians 2:9 It’s been a month of lots of emotions. From baptisms, to celebrating three years of Twist Kids’ Club Ecatepec,  to delegating leadership to some of our team, to kids finishing the school year, to travel (the kids and I to Ohio and Xau to ministry trips)…  The constant through it all is that He is our Source. He just keeps reminding me: “Just be with Me.”  We weren’t sure that anyone was going to be baptized at our semi-annual date, but were so excited to see three young men say "yes" to the invitation. More than the baptism itself, it's the fact that they've chosen to follow Christ. Pictured here is Manuel. He’s been reading the Bible for himself and is really getting it. Please pray for their constant protection and growth. Praise God for Brayan and Hector who have specifically sown into these young lives.  Yotzan, C...

Every Step

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. - Isaiah 9:2 Praise God for His light that breaks through our darkness!  This month I wanted to highlight a few testimonies from the year, starting with two key encounters since we've been back this fall.  On two unrelated occasions, we were able to sit down with beloved church members to work through and minister deliverance in areas of bondage in their lives. Praise God for His Spirit who moves us to confession and repentance and works to restore us by the power of His Word.  Pray for more of these times - that we may all be delivered from evil - just as Jesus prayed.     Training seminar for children's workers at this church: Eliaquim. It was an edifying and powerful time as they were touched by Father's heart for young ones. Jocelyn (above) & Karla: two more testimonies.  Karla started volunteering in Twist in 2023, but after star...

Treasure

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 Did anyone see that recent headline about a diver who stumbled upon nearly 50,000 bronze coins? The team also noted fragments of broken pottery.  I thought of this verse - imagining that "treasure" being held in those old earthen vessels. That's the beauty here.  Despite our fragility, God chooses to deposit in us the eternal riches of His Holy Spirit!  Praises: Renovations underway! This room had horrible moisture running through it due to inadequate roofing. Now, with proper paneling, the leakage will be eliminated. After remodeling adjustments for the adjacent room, Hector (full-time intern) will have a bedroom and this taller room will serve as our first church office! It was quite a project, but we're thankful to have a space for him to move into in the next week or two.  The beginning of September we celebrated Crece church's three ye...
